Lupita Nyong’o Is The Pink Power Ranger We Don’t Deserve, But Need

Actress and eternal inspiration to all who cross her path, Lupita Nyong’o may be world famous, but she’s a geek at heart.

Using Comic-Con as the perfect opportunity to exercise some anonymity and get her fan girl on at the same time, the Kenyan-Mexican Black Panther star transformed into one of pop culture’s most pro-femme heroines, Kimberley Hart a.k.a. the Pink Power Ranger.

Frolicking freely amongst unknowing fans—who’d definitely lose their shit if they knew who was behind that slightly creepy white mask—Nyong’o seems to have relished the opportunity to embrace her ass-kicking, mighty morphin’ side among the mere mortals.

She is truly the hero we need. As a power ranger, as Nakia in Marvel's Black Panther universe (can’t wait!), and as her real-life, perfect, hilarious self.
