Twitter Has A Meltdown Over The End Of The 'Insecure's' Return Episode
The final scene was somehow both expected and totally shocking all at once.
Last night, Insecure returned to HBO. The comedy, co-created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, debuted its first season last year and was widely lauded for its depiction of two late 20s best friends—Issa and Molly, played by Rae and Yvonne Orji—and their real AF struggles navigating relationships, careers and their own complex friendship
After leaving the last season in a state of uncertainty re: Issa and her long-term boyfriend Lawrence, the first episode of the second season went—ahem—all in, and Twitter could not deal.
The scene was shocking, largely for its brevity, which rendered it v. complex. Accordingly, Twitter also had some thoughts on Lawrence’s execution:
But mostly, the people just want more:
i cant explain why i love insecure so much i think its cause it feel real. like my friend telling me a story— Demetrius Harmon (@meechonmars) July 24, 2017

Game of Thrones brings us together.
Insecure tears us apart.
Seriously. More. Are you listening, HBO?
Judging by the preview for upcoming episodes, things are only bound to get more complicated from here. And we can. Not. Wait.
